CILLA AT THE BBC

Post by karl » Mon Aug 17, 2015 8:30 am

Last night's show was great - exactly as Cilla would have wanted to be remembered, as a singer.
BBC did her proud, no time wasted with chit-chat or applause it was just an hour of Cilla singing and showing her humourous side with Dudley Moore, Dusty Springfield & Morecambe & WIse - shame the sketch with Dusty was edited though.
This was the Cilla we knew and loved and I hope it proves to her critics that she could indeed sing.

I saw that Karl ...brought back memories.....every time I saw headlines in the papers last week at the shops ...I welled up bless her ...
Softly, I will leave you softly
For my heart would break if you should wake and see me go.....

A Cilla Musical is next on the cards, and they think that Sheridan Smith would be the likely candidate to take on this role.
After Sheridans brilliant TV performance I couldn't imagine anyone else should be considered. :)

I quite agree L&H Sheridan was brilliant infact I bought the dvd of the series just last week which is something I'd been meaning to do for awhile, Asda had a great price on it so that prompted me..

I also enjoyed this programme. I'd seen one or two of the clips before but not most of them. I particularly liked the Sixties footage. Cilla's funeral is tomorrow at midday.

Yes, a sad day but nice that Cliff is singing at her funeral. That is just what Cilla would have wanted.
Watching ITV at the moment bringing updates.
