GEORGE MARTIN

Post by karl » Wed Mar 09, 2016 9:16 am

I just read that George Martin has passed away at the age of 90.
Known as the fifth Beatle George was well known for his production work at AEMI's Abbey Road studios .
I did wonder why he was never interviewed when Cilla Black passed away - perhaps he was too ill ?

Rest in peace George.

So sad to hear of the passing of Sir George Martin.RIP.
It was an honour to be in the same room as him at the EMI celebration of Micheles book.

I hope Chris Evans is going to remember the other artists ,mainly Matt and not just the Beatles on his programme now on.

Very sorry to hear the sad news about George Martin. Like Sandra and John, we too were honoured to be in the same room as him at the EMI gathering.
A great man! Not just the Beatles memories.

I did already post on this thread, which may have overlapped somehow. However no problem, the talented gentleman Sir George is worthy of Two. He was a legend and a genius in the music industry and spoke so complimentry about Matt.
R.I.P. Sir George Martin

For anyone interested there is a 2 cd set out of George Martin 's early work and I think that's the title, it was interesting to see Eve Boswell included as I never knew about George until he was involved with The Beatles & Cilla Black.
