THE OVERTONES IN NEWCASTLE

Post by karl » Sat Jun 11, 2022 10:45 am

Just back from a few days in Newcastle and was treated to a ticket for The Overtones.
It was the last night of their tour, what a terrific show and the opening act Oooberfuse
were also great and we met them twice during the intervals when lead singer Cherrie
kindly gave us some cd's.
The Overtones gave a great performance, very professional and great moves - they
were also well dressed and groomed which so many of today's acts sadly lack. The
standing ovation was well deserved and I would definitely see them again.

I've never heard of the Overtones, Karl, but I liked reading your review and especially that they were well dressed and groomed -- so important in my book.

Paul they sing a lot of songs from the 60's and onwards including Motown and Doo Wop.
