I was sorry to hear about the passing of British actress Jean Simmons at the age of 80. A great actress, in many good films in the 50's and 60's, and popped up quite frequently on TV in the 80's and 90's as well.

I always thought Jean Simmons was underrated--I loved her in the original "Blue Lagoon"--and a complete contrast--"Guys and Dolls"--she was just so beautiful.

She once lived in an area nearby us.. Cricklewood, and we seem to recall hearing her sister Edna sing on the radio.
