I was really surprised too to see Sarah and Rachel in the sing off. I think Sarah should have stayed as she sang much better than Rachel, and she is obviously the most popular with the Olivers too.
I'm sure she will find a job in a musical somewhere in the West End anyway.

 Just watched tonights show on tape - so sad to see Sarah go. She took all comments onboard throughout and amazed me tonight with not only the sing-off song, but also her rendition of 'As long as she needs me', when she managed to sing with just the right amount of Cockney in her voice! She gave a great performance with the 'Olivers', and I think that will stand her in good stead whatever she does next. I think she would make an excellent 'Maria' in 'The Sound of Music', she has a very clear voice. Farewell Sarah - we'll miss you, but hope to see you in something soon!

We also think that Sarah sang better than Rachel in the sing off. It must have come as a shock to Rachel, because without any doubt she has been a favourite from the beginning. Judging by the sing off she seemed to have suddenly lost the enthusiasm to impress any more.

I went to a comedy club last and got a text half way through the evening from a gutted Amanda saying Sarah had been voted off. :(
I haven't seen Sunday's programme yet but I find that baffling!
She surely has a future somewhere in musical theatre - for me, Sarah was the best performer.

I did enjoy the 'Fings ain't what they used to be' number on this weeks show. Its got fantastic lyrics - like Lionel Bart had been reading some of Lena and Harrys posts   (I'm trying to think of some updated lyrics around the demise of the Routemaster, people on their mobiles in trains, teenagers (and some adults) who have some fascination for wearing their trousers halfway down their buttocks etc! )

What other songs came from 'Fings ain't what they used to be'?

Gutted! I was so shocked about Sarah. I would really like to know if anyone has heard anything about her since ? i.e what her plans are as I would like to follow her career, I would definately pay to see her. My goodness I really hope Samantha doesn't win I am going to start voting for Jodie now!

Jessie to win - especially after her performance of 'the man that got away' - did you see ALWs face?! It was a picture

I was beginning to think that I was the only one who liked Jessie singing "The man that got away"--Nobody else has mentioned her.

I think that is the kind of song that suits her best.

I thought Jessie was really terrific singing that song, it gave me goose-bumps so thats a good sign! I did really like Sarah though, but she had a duff song to sing this week  I also thought Niamh gave a creditable performance of 'They can't take that away from me' - certainly in advance of her years, and Jodie did a great job of 'Luck be a lady' with some good acting.

We certainly have noticed that Amanda is into this show Gray, and so is Harry. He was also in shock last week at the sing off, although those fingers were'nt rolling the fags any more faster than usual.

Yes, but who knows what shocks and surprises we are in for yet.
Cameron Mackintosh may appear towards the end and make a scatty decision.
We think he's already made a bit of a hash with a couple of the Olivers that he's chosen.

I must agree with the "Olivers" chosen--there are some great ones that seem to have been overlooked--my favourite at the moment is Sam---blonde, looks very much like Gwion--but seems a bit cheekier !!!

I wasn't too keen on the song choice tonight as I didn't really know most of them. It's difficult to choose who I liked best, and least. Maybe I'll wait until the result show tomorrow!
Well, I'll give it a go. My best tonight were Jessie, Ashley, Samantha and Niamh. Still unsure about Jodie, and I agreed with ALW, Rebecca didn't put much feeling into the song.
As always, enjoyed the Olivers, it's such a shame there's only one place left.
Marian :D :D :D :D
