Don Black on Radio 2
Re: Don Black on Radio 2
Don Black was back on tonight (but not sure if it was a repeat or not)...........he played one of Matts great ballad interpretations ..........I Get Along Without You Very Well a version Bing Crosby say's is one of the greatest recordings he has ever heard

"My Tears Will Fall Now That You're Gone,
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On"
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On"

Re: Don Black on Radio 2
Another repeat programme tonight, I remember the Barbra Streisand/Sunset Boulevard story at the end of the show
..............as L&H have mentioned elsewhere Don played Matt singing the glorious On Days Like These
............but he played it not too long ago.

"My Tears Will Fall Now That You're Gone,
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On"

Yes, you are right Robert, sorry I should have posted here. I also thought it sounded familiar, but nice music all the same.

Re: Don Black on Radio 2
Don played Matt singing If I Never Sing Another Song
..............but it is Don's final show until June.

Re: Don Black on Radio 2
I've got to catch up on this programme Robert, but I do know that Moira Stuart is mainly in to jazz.
Re: Don Black on Radio 2
L&H according to Radio Times Moira was playing Bert Kaempfert, Henry Mancini , Nancy Wilson and showcasing a classic album by Scott Walker 'Til The Band Comes In.
I can't imagine her presenting a music show as she doesn't have much personality.

Re: Don Black on Radio 2
Yes, I've just seen the music she played on this first programme Karl, but I think perhaps there's more to Moira Stuart than what we remember of her news deliverance.
I'll give it a listen anyhow.
