Paul, normally, I can deal with Blake Shelton (I'm a fan) and Adam Levine..but this time round, I don't know even they are starting to irritate me. I can't stand Christina and Cee-Lo period. Christina acts like she is so superior and so knowledgeable, yet all she does is scream and sing, I think she should think about what she says to the contestants and look at how she sings before advising them and Cee-Lo, well nuff said. I do remember that one contestant Tony Lucca from The New Mickey Mouse Club, he was the teen idol from that show. Just venting on my soap box!!

I was appalled at the language that Adam and Blake used last night. It was disgusting, especially when many children watch the show. I was so excited about seeing the performances, but it became more about the judges and the guest consultants, that I began to lose interest after an hour.

Amazingly Christina and Cee Lo seemed a bit more bearable last night. I agree with you though, when Christina starts singing and bragging about her vocal style, it's too much and I want to yell at the TV, "you haven't had a hit record in years and can't even sing the National Anthem properly."

I forget who are the other judges in the Uk version--apart from Tom Jones--I shall try and find out. It is now on my Locate TV, so I should find out soon when it is on.

Tom Jones would be so much better than the judges we have. We need to put him in the favourite song game!

Be sure to watch the show and post your thoughts. The premise of the show is great; I just cannot stand the judges.

Just checked out the other judges--the first 2 I knew but had forgotten about--Jessie J, and Will-i-am.the other one that I did not know about was Danny O Donoghue, lead singer from The Script.

Jessie J, helped Tulisa on last years x factor, to pick out the last 3 groups at judges houses--and amazingly a girl group actually won--but I am still not sure how !!

All I know about Will-i-am--apart from his stupid name---is that he is Cheryl's "friend".

Paul, Yes I haven't forgotten the Christina National Anthem fiasco. I can't even recall her last hit or album was it her Greatest Hits, Back To Basics, or Bi-onic. cd.

The language Blake and Adam used was totally uncalled for, and you are right kids watch the show and there were kids in the audience also.

I caught up with the first of the live shows last night-I think I may have missed an episode, as I do not remember seeing the 12 being chosen. It may be that I lost my series link, as the previous week, I had to do it on plus 1, and I forgot--or was unable-to do the link.

To my surprise, my favourite was HeeJun. I also liked Jessica--and I guess you will be rooting for her Eman,, as she is from San Diego.

Overall, I really enjoyed the show--I liked the theme of Stevie and Whitney-most songs I knew and could understand!

I think I was least impressed with Jeremy, who I believe was a wild card.

I also liked Heejun, as well as Deandre, Jermaine, Skylar, and Phillip, who had to be taken to the emergency room with kidney stones. Jeremy and Shannon were the worst.

You nailed it spot on Paul as I think that's how it's gonna go, but I'd rate Deandre higher. Marian, yes I do like Jessica our hometown girl. In fact she just lives a couple of miles away from where I live. LOL!! Though I hope she comes into her own and doesn't become a screaming clone of what they consider being a "diva". UGH!!!!

I hope that Deandre is higher. I just think Colton will be higher, but I prefer Deandre; he did Master Blaster (Jammin') so well. And he has such an endearing personality; I loved how he said "my goodness" when he saw himself crying on the monitor.

That is very cool that Jessica is your neighbor. It's pretty clear that she's been singing and performing her whole life. She might win, but it's always been boys the past few years.

I like Deandre too--his voice is very different--not sure about that song though.

The right person went last night, Jeremy, as I thought.

By the way--the uk version of "The Voice" starts on March 24th--alongside a new series of "Britain's got talent "--so anyone without video, or Sky or Freeview can only see one or the other---smart--not !!!

Just watched the latest American Idol--I was really pleased to hear it would be Billy Joel songs--but I only recognised 4 of them--and i thought I knew a lot of Billy Joel's music.

Tonight I liked Jessica-but my favourite was Colton with "Piano Man ".

However, I think that Jessica may win--she has a good, strong voice--she is only 16, and seems really confident.

Down to the Final 2--and Jessica is still there--along with Philip--who was Paul's favourite from the beginning.

I am still saying Jessica to win !!

I predicted the top 2 in the right order. That's a first. I just thought there was something special with Phillip from the start of the auditions. Turns out he was sick with kidney problems the entire series and is in hospital currently and not going on a media tour.

I hope everyone saw Jessica sing And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going a few weeks ago and then her duet with the incomparable Jennifer Holliday at the final. Just fabulous. I think she'll be very successful.

Well done Paul for your prediction--yes, I did hear Jessica sing that song. She is a great somger-and still only 16. I had not realised that Philip was still having health problems, so how he finished the series is beyond me. Maybe that is why he seemed overcome at the end and nneded his family.
