It is on at the moment though, only being shown on E4 and not Channel 4 for this series.

Did anyone watch any of "The One and Only" last night? I saw little bits of it, and it seemed a teensy weensy bit better with a live audience.
I also saw that the Rod Stewart act was taken off in the vote off, which was decided by the other contestants.

I Watched some of The One And Only and the only Two who sounded anything like the ones that they were supposed to be impersonating were Dusty Springfield and Tom Jones.
I could understand why Rod Stewart got the boot. i couldn't even hear him singing and that was with the volume at near full blast, but then he wasn't the best chosen one in the first place.

Well, I don't know if it was my imagination, but I thought most of them had improved tonight.

I agree Marian, there is an improvement with most of the entrants. At last the urgency to win is having an affect , but in spite of the Frank Sinatra impersonaters' claim that he has been doing this act for so long, the singers head and arm movement and that familiar shiver only appeared tonight. Perhaps the voice will come next.
I wasn't really surprised that Madonna was voted off, but thought it was close between her and Diana Ross at the end.
I still think that Dusty Springfield is the best soundalike.

Well, tonight it was Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Elton's gone and so has Kylie which was hardly a surprise.
I still think that Dusty Springfield is ahead, but who knows.

Well, as there's not a lot on to watch on Saturdays evenings, I am still hanging on in there Lena and Harry.
I was quite surprised at the two in the sing off, but not that Kylie went :?
I quite like Cher, and Elton wasn't bad either, but I think Dusty is probably the best at the moment.
Marian.
