Karl you shouldn't have used a rubber platekarl wrote: Many years ago I came home from the office in a foul mood which is rare for me so I decided to do a "Dusty" . I looked for the oldest plate in the house and threw it with all my might to the kitchen floor and it bounced!!! I could not believe it as nothing survived on our kitchen floor. I burst out laughing and that was the end of my mood, so I suppose it is good therapy!

On Sunday Don played a recording by Sue Raney. I quite enjoyed her delivery but have to admit I'd never heard of her before. Anyone here a fan?
Re: Don Black on Radio 2
Sue is played infrequently on radio 2 ............ but she has a nice voice
Don played Matt singing Memphis in June tonight
...............but Don mentioned at least four stories he has mentioned before ...........it's a bit irritating when he keeps saying the same things ...............I wonder if he has a memory loss or just stuck for something else to say

Don finished his programme with Matt singing You're Gonna Hear From Me
His third to last song was the wonderful "The Folk's Who Live on the Hill" by Peggy Lee ..........Peggy was one of Matts favourite singer's
At the start of the duet with Dean Martin, Don called Helen O'Connell .......Helen M'Connell .........but at the end he called her by her correct surname !

I also like Peggy Lee, she was one of Dusty's favourite singers too.
