Oh no-how did I miss it again--I know I missed the first 10 minutes, and I do not remember hearing the end. !!

I cannot believe it---I feel as though I have been listening to David Jacobs forever.

However, his health must come first-I think we have all realised hoe ill he has been sounding recently.

SO sad but as Marian says his health must come first.

How can we all let him know what his programme has meant to us over the years?

So sorry to read this. Thanks for the link Richard.
David has done so well over all the years and fighting illness too, he deserves to put his health first.

Sandra you can email David at the BBC as they all have their own email address. Last week I received a very nice email from the producer of Sounds Of The 60's telling me that although I asked for a request for my birthday in August that programme has already been recorded - when I thanked him for letting me know he told me that even for next year (my 65th) they keep them on file so that's good to know.

We are both so sorry to hear that David's Sunday night programme will no longer air after August 4th, due to his illness, but it hasn't really come as a surprise. None the more for that, he has had a long career with the BBC, and has made a huge contribution to the music and broadcasting world, and we shall miss him.
He has also been a staunch supporter of Matt and his music, and we would listen regularly hoping that he would play one of Matt's songs and he so often obliged.
We hope the rest will be helpful to him.
