I have just watched last nights episode and it was pretty dire!

Hi Marian,

Well, I think I will also give it another go, but if it's as bad as this weeks again, I will give up on it also! :)

Hi Mark

This is the American version, it's not just singers on this show but actors and politicians too.
On the first episode some were hysterically bad, some like dopplegangers.
But this week's was very middling and not too funny.

I only watch it for the giggles. :)

Well, the winner was justifiably chosen last night on "The One And Only" and Katy Setterfield as Dusty Springfield was the worthy winner.
The difference between her and the other contestants was that she didn't have to try to impersonate the voice. It' so much her own voice.
Frank Sinatra was chosen as runner up, but you can bet your life they already have more than enough of Sinatra loookalikes and soundalikes in Las Vagas.

I quite enjoyed the series in the end. The singers all definately improved as it went along, and Dusty Springfield was a worthy winner. :D :D

I also enjoyed it towards the end Marian after the abysmal first couple of weeks, but they had all improved so much.
The Lionel Ritchie contestant was very good, but I felt that if he had got the winning vote they would have had to fetch Two men in white coats or a bucket of water to throw over him.
I felt quite relieved when he was voted off of the final Three.

Then he would have turned white again Lena!!
He was very good though, and my daughter thought he was going to win, but I was quite pleased he didn't too.
I'm sure Dusty will go down well in Vegas.

I wasn't keeping up with these postings, so I didn't know this was a singing impersonation competition. Anyway I'm pleased Dusty Springfield won. I still haven't heard her, but will check You Tube. Maybe I'll have to brave the instant headache of a Las Vegas visit  to see her in Legends in Concert.

Well Gray--I did get to watch it last night--I thought it was quite unbelievable!! It seems a very different format to "The One and Only", and I prefer the different format. I thought the 4 going through were a strange mixture---Elvis Presley--Dolly Parton--Robin Williams--and George Bush !!!

The men judges seemed crazy, and seemed to spend all their time making wisecracks at the contestants--in some cases they were really rude ! However, none of the contestants argued back, or cried or had a tantrum !!! So that was different, too.

All in all, I enjoyed it--and I definately enjoyed it more than "The One and Only"---I just had one problem--at times I did not know who the person was that they were impersonating , so could not tell if they were good or not !
