Hi Marian

So you're fan of Hannah Montana too!? :)
(Only joking :))

Amanda and I went to Toys R Us in York at the weekend and the store had a whole wall devoted to Hannah Montana!
It was like a shrine! :)

:)
My daughters are fans of High School Musical.
There can't be an item of merchandise that isn't emblazoned with the characters.
Books, clothing, stationery, games, on and on and on.
Incredible.

Of course it's High School Musical too!!
Can't believe she came over just after the tsunami with no English, and having never had toys!
How the Western influence can change things! Not always for the better.

I'm very disappointed Ruth's gone. For me she was the best tonight, and I don't really care who who wins out of the remaining four.
I've supported Ruth from the start, she sings with a power and passion the others just don't have, apart from maybe Alexandra, but to me she doesn't look like a pop star.
Anyway, you don't always have to win to be a star. :D

Yes, I am disappointed she has gone as well Marian, I thought it should have been Eoghan to be honest.

I was surprised to see Ruth go-I was sure it would be Eoghan-especially when it got to the last 2.

But on saying that, I do not know that I would ever buy a cd by Ruth.

Or Diana !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every song she sings is beginning to sound the same---I was with Louis on that, and I thought that she may have gone last night ,too.

I would possibly buy one by JLS--I find their singing easier to listen to--although I found it strange to have "You light up my Life" described as one of Whitney's biggest hits!! I have certainly never heard her sing it.

No, I have never heard her sing it either Marian. Wasn't this sung by Debbie Boone, Pat Boone's daughter origianlly. I know she sang it with Perry Como on one of his tv specials, and of course Matt made a lovely recording of it.

I'd probably not buy a recording by Ruth either, but at least you could hear the lyrics of the songs she sang, I couldn't make out any of the others that I didn't know the words of, especially Diana!
I didn't think much of Britney's performance either, I preferred Miley Cyrus.

I just had to look up where I could hear Matt's version of "You Light Up My Life" after you mentioned it John.
Just wondered why it is whenever I have to look for a sound track from The Definitive List it always begins with a W or a Y!! :?
Don't get me wrong, I love having the DTL :D
Anyway, to save anyone else looking this time, it's on The 3 CD Box Set "Songs of Love" "A Time For Love" CD, and "The Very Best of Perry Como and Matt Monro."
