I wonder which Matt recording Don will end his series with ……….he ended his last series with another gorgeous Matt song Pretty Polly which is on disc 2 of The Lost New York Sessions release :)

Don ended his present series with matchless Matt singing his lovely version of Autumn Leaves :) ...........Don said Matt makes all his recordings the definitive version of every song he sings :) ........he played Frank Sinatra singing I'll Only Miss Her When I Think of Her another song on Matts new release...…but as Don said Matts versions are the definitive versions, especially compared to Franks version which was very stop start and disappointing version of the song.

Don plays a Matt song every week on his show but he also plays a song by Johnny Mathis and Perry Como virtually every week too

Yes Frank's version isn't a patch on our Matt's.

Thanks Robert for the update on Don. Let's hope the BBC will have a copy of the new CD for Don to select from. ☺☺

Dons opening show of the series was a decent effort...…….he played a song performed by Michael Ball and Alfie Boe which was a tribute song Don wrote for his late wife Shirley which was quite poignant ……...a new part of the show is "guess the singer" ……….I got it straight away but I wont spill the beans before people have a chance to hear the programme …………..oh and Don played "matchless Matt" singing the lovely Rain Sometimes :)

Good to have Don back and we enjoyed the show. He played some songs and singers we hadn't heard before. We have awarded you Robert a gold star for guessing the "Who's The Singer" as we were convinced it was Anthony Newley. 🙂🙂

Matchless Matt singing another of our favourites Rain Sometime.
