HURRICANE TAIL-END HITS ENGLAND

I just heard on the TV Late News that the tail-end of Hurricane Katia hit the coast of Britain
and Scotland sparing only South West England. According to the Weather Channel the storm
arrived Sunday night & Monday with winds of 50-60 miles a hour, heavy rains, and 12-15 feet waves.
If this report is accurate, I wish that it did not cause the damage our hurricane did 2 weeks ago!
Good Luck & Keep Safe!.................Henry

We had strong winds yesterday Henry, but central Southern England is pretty good.
It's a lovely sunny morning here today, but it didn't look too good further North and in Scotland yesterday, and Ireland looked badly hit too.

Such a beautiful day today in London--just perfect--and last night was so mild, I did not even need my jacket on for the walk back to the hotel at about 10.30 last night.
