Was going through a box of old records and some were eldest sisters. Ha ha!!! What a trip down memory lane and nice one though Anyway I stumbled upon a record called "Lovers of the World Unite" by David and Jonathan. I also found an album of hers by the same guys called "Michele" which was produced by George Martin. I know these guys were really Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway who wrote a lot of hits that I loved. Does anyone know what they are up to today? I know my sister must have had a crush on Roger Greenaway ( I think he was David) as inside the album there was a pin up of him from a teenzine and on the back it had all this bio data stuff on him. I just had to roll my eyes. I called her as she lives in Hawaii and she was all happy that I found the records and was denying every thing about the pin ups!

Robert, on "You Tube" there is a better "Live" version by David & Jonathon if you read the comments below the 45 rpm photo
I enjoyed their singing & the song.....They also wrote two of my favorites---"You've Got Your Troubles" and
"I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing" (1972)
I will try to find one of their Albums either on E-Bay or Amazon/uk if they are available!

Henry their lone US lp has some of their original songs and songs they wrote that were hits for others along with some covers! Lovers of The World Unite wasn't on it though!

Henry, on Amazon they have a 2 cd set of David and Jonathan. It comprises of their album and the Very Best of David and Jonathan. It's pretty pricey as $29.95 plus shipping and handling. There is also another cd just called "The Very Best of David and Jonathan" but I forgot the price.

Henry, I prefer to listen to the actual 45 rpm releases on Youtube, as "live" versions are often of inferior quality ..............but the David and Jonathan song maybe the other way round

..........................do you know that David and Jonathan are really the prolific songwriters.............Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway ?
