Saw this show last night with some of my former colleagues.

Being Saturday night I thought the theatre would have been packed but it wasn't - however the audience made up for it as we were all on our feet at the end cheering for more. The cast worked very hard and the sound and the band were great.

If you like Motown music and this show is coming to your town then go, you will enjoy it!

I think we have had news recently of some Motown shows coming our way.
Any music that gets you up dancing must be good.
One of the best nights we experienced a couple of years ago was with "The Drifters." No one stayed seated throughout the show.

It's good when the audience react like that L&H. Two shows that spring to mind that had an electric atmosphere were seeing Errol Brown in concert and the musical Soul Train with Sheila Feguson. I have never in my life seen an audience go as crazy as they did, I was close enough to the stage to see the look on Sheila's face and it read "This Is Edinburgh, I don't Believe It".

Another electric atmosphere was Dusty at Drury Lane!

I don't like these types of shows where people feel they have to dance in the aisles, sing-along, or stand. I prefer to sit and concentrate on the singing and dancing. These types of shows were the rage in the 1980s and 1990s in the US, but thankfully have become passé.

Paul people get up and dance because they want to, it's Motown music with a great beat. I don't get up and dance but I do get up and clap along.

You also have to remember how hard those performers work to win over their audience, if noboy moved it would be like playing to a dead audience. What a cold atmosphere it must be when you're at a show!

I can just imagine you at a Status Quo concert, you'd be the only one sitting down!!!!
