Last night we went to see The Show, "TOP HAT " with Tom Chambers and Summer Strallen at the Aldwych Theatre here in London's West -End.
Absolutely wonderful, the songs and the dancing was terrific.
Irvine Berlins classics based on Fred Astair and Ginger Rogers movies.

Thanks Guys. It was a great evening. A family celebration for Ten of us.
We have been quite surprised reading of Tom Chambers career. Apart from Strictly Come Dancing we knew little about him except that he was in the Series Holby City, but since the age of Twelve he played main roles in school productions and was a member of the National Youth Music Theatre, and has appeared in a number of London fringe productions playing leading roles.
He has been tap dancing in many of these shows, so to play this part was a dream come true for him. In fact he chorographied one of the routines in Top Hat. He played the Bing Crosby role in Irvine Berlin's musical White Christmas at the Sunderland Empire in 2010.
It was standing ovations last night and so deserved, and of course Summer Strallen who was marvellous is the sister of Scalett Strallen who we saw in Singing In The Rain..

Thanks Marian, yes, in spite of the rain we had a nice time with Alan in Somerset. Everything was under a large Marquee, all to honour the Fiftieth Anniversary of the National Autistic Society.
Hope you and Peter enjoyed your weekend break too with some good entertainment. !!!

Yes thank you Lena and Harry, it was a lovely weekend and made a nice change. Though showery. it didn't spoil the few days and Sunday was beautiful. Entertainment was very good too.
