Well. Christmas has come and gone as quickly as it always does.
What were your Christmas favourites on TV this year??
My very favourite programme was "When Joseph met Maria"--I loved every second of it--especially Lee and Connie duetting on "All I ask of you". I also loved the "Strictly Come Dancing Final".
And my other most favourite programme was "Noel's Christmas Presents"---a really inspirational and moving show--and it just put all my problems into perspective!!!!

The bio/documentary on Andrea Bocelli-the (original)Three Tenors Concert(twice)-the documentary on Pavarotti too-Ella'Legends'&concert-but little else worthwhile. The finale of Strictly was predictable(albeit well deserved).

The Doctor Who Christmas Special was my highlight, though Kylie Minogue was perhaps the least best thing in it. Loved the Titanic-missing- Buckinghma Palace bit: very funny. Also enjoyed the one-and-a-half-hour long Dragons' Den Christmas Special on Christmas Day, and the similarly long special of Extras last night.

Hi everyone. I enjoyed the Marias and Josephs too, also Dr Who, but as always the best parts are always shown as trailers to the programme, which rather spoils the finished product I feel.
I also enjoyed the film "My Fair Lady" which although I've been critical in the past, I don't think I've ever seen in it's entirety, and I enjoyed it!
Another highlight for me was the adaptation of a book from my childhood, "Ballet Shoes" by Noel Streatfield.

Did anyone notice , in "When Joseph met Maria", that when they were showing the auditions for Joseph, Rhydian was an auditionee---just for a couple of seconds. I did not remember it at the time, because I did not know him then. I have to say that I could not picture him as a "Joseph".
They may show more tomorrow on the "Story of Any Dream will do ".
I did not see "Ballet Shoes"--I intended to, but just forgot--like Marian I remember the book from when I was a child.

I noticed Rhydian too Marian. They just showed the moment where he was being tapped on the shoulder to show he was out of the audition.
I knew he had auditioned for the part, but don't think he would have been right for the role either.

My favourite programs were the Royal Institute of of Science Xmas lectures on Channel 5, they were excellent.
My munchkins loved 'Shrek The Halls' on Xmas Day.
Nobody has mentioned the Queens speach, yet...?
