CONCERT TICKETS

I know Jack Jones isn't performing here until May but I am hoping his concert will not be cancelled - looking at the online booking he has sold very few tickets and yet Burt Bacharach tickets went onsale last week and he is almost sold out - Emeile Sande in April is also completely sold out and all are appearing at the same venue.

I would travel to Glasgow to see Jack but i'm hoping I don't have to, perhaps he should be doing some promotion work for his tour?

Not sure about his promotion work Karl, but his two Kapp albums "I've Got A Lot Of Living To Do." dated from 1961 and 2 and respectively the third and fourth that Jack recorded for this label have been mentioned in our latest IN TUNE magazine by the editor..Gerry who went on to say that this excellent CD is rounded out by a few bonus track singles which are not of the same quality but which nevertheless are of great interest and rarity.
Many regard this period of Jack Jones career as his most satisfying and on the evidence of thes albums who could argue. He went on to say that Jack's tour is being billed as his Farewell Tour, and if this is so it is sad news indeed, but I am sure that it will be a resounding success. I have received the dates for Jacks tour and one of the dates is here in Eastbourne so I hope to be able to interview him nearer the time.
Well, we can guarantee a great interview, because nobody does it better than Gerry :)

L&H I used to see JJ every time he played here but for the past 20 years he only played Glasgow and when I was working I couldn't make the time to travel through.

Much as I love his early work I think his RCA years were the best, his voice had matured and the way he used his voice was wonderful.

Keeping my fingers crossed I see him somewhere!!!

I wish it iwas JJ almost sold out instead of Burt who was the biggest disappoinment of my life when I saw him, he charged top dollar and did the show on a shoestring - bare wooden stage, no fancy extras and not even an orchestra but a four piece band. Seeing Tony Christie not long after - he knew how to put on a show and was superb,

For a living legend like Burt I was very let down.

It's a shame if they don't sell more tickets soon Karl. He never seems to get the publicity he deserves.
These are his promoters if you'd like to have a go at them Karl... but it never seems to make any difference.

Thanks Marian I have sent an email. Previous JJ concerts have always been well attended so let's hope this one will be.

I agree , the publicity regarding this tour has been non-existent--especially for a farewell tour. If it were not for this Forum, I would have no idea about the concerts.
