I watched the show tonight and was absolutely shocked that Maria was sent home. What do you think, who should have gone and who do you think will win?

We haven't watched the entire series. Didn't see it on Saturday night, but we did watch the repeat last night.
To begin with, how whatsisname "Chico" had the cheeko to even enter baffled us.
Maria should never have been voted off. Funnily enough in spite of what the newspapers have said today, on the show Maria accepted the verdict very graciously. Every one possible was trying their very best to get some tears, they would have invented them if they could have just sqeezed a couple from those gorgeous eyes, but no luck.
Surely Brenda Edwards should win, great voice!!!!

Although very good you have to blame the material they sing on the judges. I find a lot of it very old fashioned. They take these poor sods and produce a winner, who have one hit and disappear into obscurity.

The only exception is Will Young who was very vocal as to what he would and wouldn't do. I think the man is exceptionally talented.

I love X Factor, and have watched every programme. It probably was not the right decision to vote Maria out, but the unpredictability is one of the reasons it is so popular. I think it will be either Andy or Brenda to win--probably Brenda--she is singing great and looks really good now.

I agree-pity it clashes with Strictly Come Dancing-both excellent viewing.
Dare I say,at last The Conway Sisters have gone!

I am also thankful the Conway Sisters have gone - I found it painful to watch with the amatuer dramatics every week, they were always doom and gloom. I have to wonder why Simon picked them especially when The Brothers were so much more talented, I have to wonder if they wanted to add woman to even the balance of the show

I know I am way behind on this, but I loved watching X factor. I have to say that in the end I think that Shayne was a worthy winner---his version of "Over the Rainbow" was just lovely.
