For any "Golden Girls "fans---today there is a new channel on Sky called TLC
[#125] replacing Challenge, which is now #145---why they did not put the new channel on #145 is a mystery !! It is also on Virgin, but I do not know the channel number.

From today 1st May, they are showing "Golden Girls" from the very first Pilot episode at 6.00 tonight--2 episodes---repeated tomorrow morning at about 10.00. Both my sister and I have our Sky+ boxes set--I missed a lot of the earlier episodes .

I have them all on dvd, absolutely brilliiant series - they could make me laugh with just a look. Sad to think only one of them is still alive.

Love The Golden Girls too, also have them on dvd too, funnily enough we were watching some of them last week. Hilarious. It is a shame there is only Betty White left, and she is amazing, aged 91 and still working. Rose was always my favourite, but they were all brilliant.

John do you remember the classic line from Sophia (Estelle getty)

Picture it (as she used to say), it was a stormy night and one by one they all got into Sophia's bed as they were scared, there was a silence but obviously Sophia has done something and they said What Was That - her reply was Hey! It's My Bed I Can Do What The Hell I Like

The spin-off The Golden Palace was not up to Golden Girls standards but I'd still buy it if it was released on dvd.

Yes, remember that Karl, she had some funny lines in it. And yes, she always started off with "Picture it".
I liked The Golden Palace too, but wasn't the same without Bea Arthur, although I think she did appear in at least one episode.
