This came in to my mind today.

Is there a film where Rock Hudon became a doctor to help save the woman he loved, was she blind or something in the film?

I'd like to see this again but can't remember the title. Can anyone help?

Yes, there was--I think it also starred Jane Wyman--and I think it was called "Magnificent Obsession !--not 100 % sure though.

I think you're right Marian but the synopsis did not mentioned him becoming a doctor so that threw me.

My aunt and uncle met Jane Wyman during a trip to Palm Springs years ago, they were both in the same church - they spoke to her afterwards and said she was really nice.
