Just watched the recording of last night's show. Usual format, lots of rubbish acts and some entertaining ones. Liked the dog best, and the young lad at the end, Andrew. Like all these kinds of shows they improve as time goes by.

I agree exactly with what Marian said. For some reason, I taped another show called "Britain's got more talent" and watched it this afternoon.

Basically, I wish I had not!!

Only caught the last few minutes of this, after watching 'In search of a Nancy' (as Terry Wogan has christened it!). The young lad at the end nearly moved me tears with his story of bullying. But so lovely to see that this hasn't put him off his singing. Apparently he his head chorister at Carlisle Cathedral

I liked the 4 girls with the violins, thought they were really good, also the dog act was brilliant, and the young lad at the end.

I try not to watch, but tis like the auditions for 'X-Factor' - you just don't believe some people can be so bad! But at least their up trying - although whether we really need a male stripper who appears to have based his act on Frank Spencer is questionable!

Highlights this week were a Filippino singer, who gave a faultless rendition of 'My heart will go on' and a young lad who sang 'The Summer Wind'. He was really enjoying breezing his way (pun fully intended  ) this number, and I'll even forgive his 'scatting' instead of singing the second verse, although I've turned off Cleo Laine for doing just the same!

Didn't the Filippino singer sing "I will always love you", as far as I remember---"My heart will go on "was on "the Nancy show".

Young Charley Green was excellent singing---but young Charley , the comedian was good too, and there was another Charley on "Britains got more talent" --a kind of rock musician--again, just a young boy.

However--some of them were just dire, I suppose is the kindest word I can think of. But it keeps you watching, because every so often, up pops a star!!!

Not too much talent showed up this week. I think Simon put the mockers on things to begin with, by saying Blackpool was our version of Las Vegas. :D
I don't think we saw the winner this week anyway! :?

I must admit the only act I can remember was the young boy who came on as a singer, and returned as a comedian--and I only remember him because he was the most IRRITATING person on.!!

As far as I can recall, nobody went through from Blackpool--or maybe just one----I bet you could have showed them, John !!

I suppose you could class the annoying kid as going through from Blackpool Marian, as he was allowed to try again from the following auditions.
