Eusebio da Silva Ferreira

Post by Lena & Harry Smith » Sun Jan 05, 2014 11:02 am

We have just seen the sad news that Portugese Footballer Eusebio , considered one of football's greatest players of all time, has died at the age of 71
We both saw him play in the semi final and Harry in the final when England won the World Cup 1966. We remember how we stood holding our breath in the semi final's last minutes because it was Eusebio who was the constant threat throughout the game. after the final whistle, the loud speakers announced.. Wembley has never been like this, how true, it never has been since.
R.I.P. Eusebio Da Silva Ferreira.

RIP Eusebio :( :( ..........what a great great player Eusebio was, in the worlds top three without a doubt along with Pele and Maradona :) ................we always saw him sat in the stands at the big football matches and he always looked fit and healthy, so it was a shock to hear of his sad passing today :( :( .............................British sport also lost another great today............legendary National Hunt jockey Terry Biddlecombe :( :(
