Roberta Flacks song has been played twice in the past week, what a beautiful song it is.

I remember buying it on an LP by Johnny Mathis (that was one of two he signed for me at Chappells ln London) and then seeing him at the Palladium and wondering how he would perform a certain part of that song live on stage - he did it by continually moving the mike to and from his mouth. I have seen Dusty and Jackie Trent use that technique and it's very clever. It's wonderful watching a great artist at work.

It is a long time since Jm recorded that song-his voice was different then, and he could hit the high notes. But I agree a beautiful song.

It's one of my Mum's favourite songs either by Roberta Flack or Johnny Mathis.
