Does anyone else remember the song ? ............David Jacobs mentioned her on his documentary programme saying when she appeared on Juke Box Jury one of the panel members was very rude to her song, by wearing a peg on his nose

Yes, she did sing that song too Karl.
Also Isn't it surprising what some people carry around with them. I mean...a peg of all things. I suppose he could always be remembered as Nosey Parker.

I know who Sue Thompson is but not Ross Parker, so at least one of them is more famous!

L&H I love the fact you called Ross Nosey, that reminds me of a former colleague Susan Berry - she was referred to as Chuck"!

Ross Parker was a songwriter Karl. He wrote Shirley Basseys first single ... "Burn My Candle" and Vera Lynn's "We'll Meet again" and "There'll Always Be An England."
It was actually Carol Deene who was humiliated on Juke Box Jury with "Norman" He obviously intended using that peg for somebody on that show, and Cliff Richard thought his behaviour was disgusting.

Thanks for giving me the correct name L&H, Sue Thompson's hit was in the US...............what a horrible thing to happen to poor Carol Deene on Juke Box Jury :!: ............especially as I think the show was broadcast live, how humiliating for her :(
