Trio of programs on BBC4

Post by Gray » Sun May 11, 2008 6:54 am

Did anyone see the 'Peggy Lee', 'Nat King Cole' & 'Crooners doc's on BBC4?
I really enjoyed all 3 shows, it sounded as though Nat King Cole was a really nice fella, to go along with his wonderful voice.:)

Yes we watched them all Gray. Peggy Lee was a sensational singer, one of the best, but we remember her visit here a few years ago when she was in her wheelchair and sad as it was, they had to cut her tour short.
The crooners was naturally brilliant. We did already have the Nat King Cole show on video but still watched it again.

I hadn't see the Val Doonican "Legends" programme, so watched that when it was on recently, and enjoyed that too. :D :D

What a fabulous generation of singers there were in the 40's, 50's & 60's.
