I was very sorry to hear that Jackie Trent has passed away aged 74. A great songwriter and a lovely singer with a wonderful powerful voice. She will be greatly missed. R.I.P. Jackie.
Karl emailed me also to say he is without a computer at the moment and will be back as soon as possible and will post a tribute to her.

Yes, really sad news of Jackie Trent John.
Some of the singers and songwriters of today could learn a lot from Jackie's talent.
Both she and Tony Hatch produced some wonderful theme music and many unforgettable songs.
She will be missed R.I.P. Jackie Trent.

Yes, it was sad news this morning to hear that she has died. A very talented lady, who gave us and the music industry many lovely songs. She will be sadly missed.

I only just spotted this news on facebook. So sad. I know how close Karl was to Jackie, so cannot imagine how he is feeling right now. Thoughgts with Karl and Jackies family.

I don't think so Maxine. I think Tony is actually with Maggie in Menorca.

No problem Maxine. There have been a number of stars and celebrities deaths these past years and we all have to think who is still with us and who isn't.

Sad to learn of Jackie's passing. I've always liked her hit song "Where Are you Now, My Love". RIP, Jackie.

I keep singing their songs ...great talent bless her ...thinking of her family ....her songs will always be there for them ....small comfort but a comfort at least.

Yes very sorry to hear of the death of Jackie Trent a very GREAT talent thinking of her family at this sad time, and also thinking of her friend Karl right now.
I also loved her singing her hit "Where Are You Now My Love".
