Saw the matinee in Glasgow today, Tommy received a big applause when he came on stage and even more at the finale with shouts of "More", at 78 the man is amazing - still in good voice and still trim the only thing that belies his age is his movements are slower but it didn't stop him doing little dances but at his own pace.
It's a show well worth going to see and the musicians are fantastic.
Only complaint for certain songs especially duets the mikes could have been set higher as quiet passages were lost. With modern technology I'm sure this could be avoided!

Sandra four of us travelled to London to see it a few months ago, the review was everything I said about it which proves I know a turkey when I see one - Dusty deserves so much better than this and despite all the criticism from fans the flaws are still there. The stage was too small for all that was going on and it was impossible to focus on everything .
We paid £53 to see the show and the Jackie Trent story which was performed by amateurs in Stoke was £15 and 100 times better, I loved that show and saw it twice.

I saw the Glenn Miller Story a few weeks ago in Southampton. I agree with Karl's comments.
I loved the show. Tommy Steele was fantastic except he was a measure ahead of the orchestra on The Nearness of You. I was thrilled Without You I'm Nothing (from Mr Wonderful) was the first song he sang (as a duet). The on stage orchestra was outstanding -- esp the drummer. I wish they had done the full version of In the Mood. I was the only one singing along to the songs at the end!
Is anyone going to the Leslie Bricusse show in London? I think it's on right now. Such wonderful songs. If I was in the UK, I'd be there!
