Have just seen the news that actor Warren Mitchell has died at the age of 89.
He will always be remembered for his role as the bigoted Alf Garnett in the TV series .. " Till Death Us Do Part! followed by the series... "In Sickness And In Health"
He referee'd a charity football game when Harry was leader of The North Paddington Boys Club, and opened our social and Bingo club here in Kilburn. We didn't stop laughing . A wonderful actor .
R.I.P. Warren Mitchell. !!

I just read this as a picture of him with Dusty from her tv show was posted on Facebook. I well remember the scene they did together and I remember L&H talking about him awhile back.
Rest in peace.

Sad news. R.I.P.
Peter and I saw him in his own show in Reading several years ago. The audience were very sparse.
So he brought those sitting upstairs down, and filled the first few rows near the stage so everyone was sitting together. He was very funny. I had bought tickets for Peter's birthday that year I remember. :D
