Kay Starr R.I.P.

Post by john » Fri Nov 04, 2016 8:45 am

I was sorry to read that the singer Kay Starr has passed away aged 94. Had huge hits in the 50's with Wheel of Fortune and Rock And Roll Waltz amongst others. I have her on a dvd from around 9 years ago singing both these songs, alongside many other great performers of that era, and she was terrific even in her mid 80's.

Yes, really sorry to hear of another great singer from those unforgettable years. I remember when Kay Starr's recording of " Wheel Of Fortune " was first released. I probably drove the neighbours barmy with that one.
Thanks to John for giving us the DVD that he mentioned :)
