We sadly said goodbye to Desmond Carrington last Friday for his final broadcast and wondered who would replace him. Well tonight his replacement was Leo Green who is the son of late broadcaster Benny Green. His programme was live and certainly didn't disappoint. It was songs from the Fifties, including several pop numbers.
He mentioned our Matt, The Singing Bus Driver who served in Hong Kong and then played Matt's superb " Prisoner Of Love" He added that he was Transport For London's greatest ever singer.
Then he talked of the lovely Kay Star who passed away yesterday and played "The Rock and Roll Waltz" and then none other than Frank Sinatra, who we know was his dad's favourite. A very enjoyable programme
