Dragon's Den

Just wondered if anyone watches Dragon's Den? We watched it for the first time tonight and found it quite an entertaining programme.
There were one or two good ideas, but some ridiculous ones too, like having a 'lay line' down the centre of bedding to define which half of the bed one sleeps in! Naturally the idea was ridiculed and thrown out.

I watched an episode last series--but did not like it, so did not continue watching it.

My sister however, really enjoys it .

We watch it occasionally if there is nothing else on worth watching.

Amanda and I watched last nights program, Marian.
I think it's quite entertaining, the bed divider made me laugh.
However, we usually end up with our two munchkins in bed with us so I wondered if they did a fitted sheet that splits the bed into 4!

I'm a big "Dragon's Den" fan. The bed thing was silly, I agree, but I liked the entertainment business idea with, e.g., the talking tree, at the end - and so of course did the Dragons. Incidentally Deborah Meaden, the only female Dragon, is more than just a business woman - she's also an accomplished pianist and won a scholarship to Trinity College of Music, when time was. She guested on the First Night of the Proms recently, and is very knowledgeable musically.

Unlike many judging panels Jon, I felt these panelists were really knowledgeable and knew exactly which ideas to invest in. Interesting to know something about them.
I'm sure we will continue watching future programmes.

They should know,Marian-however I wouldn't put any money into'pop groups'!That surprised me.

They weren't particularly easy on the eye either Mark ( but then, neither were The Rolling Stones.)
I couldn't take my eyes off the two silver b a l l s at the top of their spokesperson's nose!

To be honest, I am getting to quite like the programme. There were 2 programmes on last weekend and I watched both of them. Not many came away with the money though, and it is quite amusing to watch the expressions on the Dragon's faces sometimes when they are being shown the products and hear their comments.

I watched it again this week and enjoyed the programme. It's something different.
As you say John, not much money exchanged hands though.

I thought there were a couple of good ideas on Dragon's Den Tonight. I am pleased the guy with the pizza cooking idea got his money, and also the guy with the sculptures. As always, a few crazy ideas as well.

the pizza guy suffered from very bad nerves but the dragons saw thru' that and came up with the ante!

I missed some of Dragons Den last night, but I did see the guy who had developed a room heating system intergral with the skirting board.
I just wanted someone to ask where are you going to position furniture with this system installed in a small room? Surely most of the heating would be obstructed by furniture??

However,the guy was just a bit too'clever'.
