"X-FACTOR 2008"

Post by mariana44 » Sun Aug 17, 2008 9:50 am

So another "X-factor" is starting---with still no signs of activity from the winner or runner up from last year--although there was a programme on a week or so back following the "fortunes" of last years entrants--most of them seem to be in the middle of "making an album"!! And Leon looked much better with a new hairstyle.

I really do not have much to say about last night--usual format--one or 2 good-ish singers--lots of not-so good. Not quite sure what Cheryl Cole is doing on the panel--she does not seem to be adding much to the proceedings---and I do not see a need for a 4th judge. Apart from the end when they are split up into groups, I suppose !!

I turned over to the XFactor after watching "The Last Choir Standing "to watch the usual filling up time of no hopers, until 26 year old Rachel, mother of Five, who told the panel how in spite of her past she has now tried to turn her life around and then she began to sing.
WOW !! what a voice this girl has. She's won it for me already.

I know that Simon was very impressed with her--but I read in the paper that someone else is after her to--so we shall have to wait and see-I do not think Simon will let go easily !!

It'll be quite interesting to see who makes it to the final twelve next week. My daughter tells me that she thought they had been revealed today in the Star, and that Simon Cowell is furious, but I don't know if it's true. :?: :?:

Missed both shows this weekend, but no doubt we will catch up on ITV2 sometime.

I checked out the "Star" website--nothing on there, and I have not seen anything on Tv, or teletext or todays paper.

I cannot see any sign of a feud between Dannii, and Cheryl---I am beginning to prefer it without Sharon-she was a bit OTT at times--I think she was starting to get above herself.

Some very good young girl singers this time--Cheryl's group.

At the moment, hard to pick a winner--there are at least half a dozen in the running.

No you've not really missed much Lena and Harry.
They were told who has each category this week, Simon the boys, Cheryl the girls, Dannii the over 25s, and Louis the groups.
I cannot see any evidence of a feud between Dannii and Cheryl either, although Cheryl definately gets more air time.
She is also the one who seems to empathise most with the 'sad' stories of some of the entrants.
She cries the most.

The 'boys' are very young this year. The youngest Liam, is only 14. He got voted off this week, but Simon changed his mind and brought him back into the last 24.
They are filmed in various countries next weekend, including Barbados, before the final twelve are chosen.

Headlines in yesterdays Sunday Mirror.. I'LL QUIT ..EX CLUSIVE
Jealous Danni is furious Cheryl gets more time on air than her...
She gives Cowell ...I'll Go Ultimatum.... relations between the Two female judges are so bitter it makes the situation very difficult.
It could be pistols at dawn.... PLEASE !!!.

They keep dreaming up these stories. I was told that Dannii is going and Sharon is coming back, but I just don't know what to believe about this show any more! It's more about the judges than the people taking part

I have not seen antything about Dannii and Sharon--I cannot believe that Sharon could take over midstream--nor would I want her to--the programme is much better without her-I am even beginning to really like Cheryl .
