It seems hard to believe that he was 80 years old. I remember him best for The Prisoner tv series filmed in Portmeirion.

We first remembered Patrick Mcgoohan from Danger Man in the Sixties but then for "The Prisoner."

I thought Danger Man was his most remembered TV series, rather than The Prisoner

I don't remember the TV series mentioned above when they played first time round, but I recall he was very good as the warden in Clint Eastwood's 'Escape From Alcatraz'.

He won two Emmys for guest appearances in Columbo movies too, which I remember very well

I guess he would be around 80 as he was already in his 30s/40s when he starred in Danger Man and The Prisoner; the 60s were quite a long time ago now really.
I love the theme music to Danger Man as well as that to Strange Report which starred Antony Quayle in the late 60s. You can get them on collections of TV theme tunes.
