DAVID JACOBS 83 TODAY

Heard on the radio coming into work that my fav cool DJ Mr DJ David Jacobs is 83 today, I love his show and have always listened to him for years on R2, i'd love to wish him a happy birthday.

Yes, it was Happy Birthday to David Yesterday, amd what a great contribution he has made to the music and entertainment world as well as the BBC.
It was also the lovely Alma Cogans Birthday on the same day who sadly passed away so young she would have been 77 yesterday.

Janice Long (who's pretty wonderful herself) said the kindest things about David Jacobs during one of her programmes this week. Whenever she sees him in the office, David always asks her if she's adjusting to living in London with its high prices and hubbub. [Janice (and Alex Lester and Mo Dutta) had to move from the BBC Birmingham to London a year ago.]
She said he's 'gorgeous'.
