I have just read on the internet that Joanthan Ross had decided to quit the BBC, ending his TV Programme and also his BBC Radio programme. I can't say I will miss him.

I won't shed any tears either. Have to say his brother Paul comes over as a much nicer kind of person. :)

Here's a thought:Ross and Brand were naughty-bedfellows in the Sachs Mystery. Brand reckons he is betrothed to Katy Perry.Ross quits his job.Brand won't have any Wife of his going out to work!

I know.I'm very,very bold

I've just read a detailed BBC News report of an interview he's given about it and nowhere does he say WHY he's quit.

According to the papers today it was more the BBC's decision. The correct one, I think.

Hoping to keep his job, he even offered to take just half of his current salary.

Could he survive on that we ask ourselves.

Yes, the majority of us have to survive on less than 1% of that.

We are surprised that he wasn't included in the New Year's honours list.
Just to wind us all up :D :D

Well I for one will miss his Radio 2 show - it was a 'must listen' if we were driving anywhere. And I do think his chat show, though less serious than Parkinson, was the only one that attracted 'serious' conversations. Has anyone tried watching Graham Norton, Charlotte Church or Alan Carr in their respective chats shows? Apparently the publishers and record companies are already worried that their won't be a major platform for people to plug books or promote new records and movies!
