Are any of you watching the Britsih version of The Apprentice with Sir Alan Sugar. It just gets better and better. Now with the demise of Siad, who is going to win?
How does it rate to the US version with Donald Trump?

I have not seen the us version, and this is the first series of the UK one that I have watched---I just love it, I have to say. I think Ruth will win.

I watched the USA version,partly 'cos Tony(Bennett)sang THE BEST IS YET TO COME in one episode.

Hi Mark--yes you are right, Ruth did not win. I'm not very good at picking winners!

I am at the moment watching "The Apprentice USA" with Martha Stewart.
It is on every weeknight at 10.00 on Discovery H & H---and it is just great-I am loving it and do not want it to end. The tasks they are set to do are more interesting, and Martha Stewart is a lovely lady--but tough when she needs to be. We are down to the last 5, and at the moment, I have not a clue who will win.

Anyone watch the start of the new series of "The Apprentice" last night?
I don't expect many of the men did, as the boring France England match was on at the same time. I recorded it, as "the boys" here were watching the match too.
Quite an interesting start, getting them all to sell fish in Chapel Market, Islington. That's where both teams eventually ended up anyway.
I agreed with Alan Sugar's decision to sack Nicholas, who was far too pompous for my liking.
I didn't really take to the "mouthy" Claire, but at least the girls team won, and by quite a margin.

Yes I watched it---great task--even thouigh they were all totally useless-they may be clever, but not much common sense there !

I guessed Nicholas would go--definately too full of himself and about how "outstanding " he was--and he was the dope who priced the lobsters up at £4.95 each--less than 1/4 of their value.

There was one girl who looked to be on the brink of tears every time the camera caught her---so I do not think she will last long. Needless to say, I love it and am hooked already !!

I did not see "Sport Relief--The Apprentice" but it was on again on Monday night--or Tuesday- [just "The Apprentice"]--I missed it again--but my sister caught it and has sent me a dvd of it, so I may well watch it tonight-I do not have a clue how it went, so am looking forward to it.

Sorry Marian(s), didn't catch The Apprentice, I was far too busy getting more and more depressed watching the England game.

It looked rather a shambles to me too Gray.

I did see The Apprentice, having watched the previous series too, though none of the earlier ones; I was a slow convert but am now hooked.There certainly seems to be an interesting bunch of people in this year's set and some of them are setting themselves up to fail. I was pleased with the first firing as the firee was obviously someone who wasn't going to blend in with the others; in fact he seemed to go out of his way to distance himself from them. The argument in the "boardroom" (which is in fact a TV studio, I believe, and the receptionist an actress), when he suggested the team leader was uneducated, was pure gold. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed "Sport Relief" The Apprentice--although , the person who was fired was not who I expected it to be.

I have just watched "The Apprentice"--"The Laundry"---it was a shambles--more and more like an Ealing Comedy--just crazy. But I really enjoyed it !

Yes, we were also surprised that Shazia was fired, although as Alan Sugar said.. it should have been all Three of them.
Have to give Ten out of Ten to the girls for having the nerve to ask for a tip from their customers though.

I shouldn't have looked at this thread as I've taped the show and hope to watch it today.

It is still worth watching---just to see just how stupid these "clever, highly educated, I can do anything" people can be--parts were just unbelievable!!

Yeah, they'd be useless on our forum . Anyhow it's now emerged that Shazia took someone from one of her employment places to the tribunal. Maybe that was telling Alan Sugar something.
