Lionel Jeffries R.I.P.

Just read that the actor Lionel Jeffries has died aged 83. He played many parts in films over the years.
He was Caractacus Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang who was dick Van Dyke's father, but was in fact six months younger than him!

Yes, sorry to hear this sad news of Lionel Jeffries. He was a fine actor.

Sorry to hear the sad news. He always looked much older than he was, I thought, even in films of the sixties. A great actor though.

Yes, sad news, but he was a good age. Like John, I always thought he looked "old", even 40 years ago. Hadn't seen much of him in recent years but I understand he'd been battling poor health. RIP, Lionel.
