Hi Edgar, Please tell us who "we" are--I rarely watch the sports news or buy a paper so I do not really know. Could it be Cardiff??

Hi Edgar

I take it you mean your home town team. Bear in mind you're only there due to alphabetical order, joint top with Brum aren't you. Be nice to se a team from Wales in the Prem, one from Scotland would do too :D

Yes Marian, Edgar does mean Cardiff, as mentioned on another page on the forum recently.

thomas 1. Cardiff are top because of a superior goal difference of 7 compared to Birminghams 4. Also Cardiff would still be top because they have scored more goals.

2. If it was on alphabetical order as you suggest, doesn't Birmingham come before Cardiff, B before C

Thank you for explaining the finer art of the league tables to Thomas. Saves me having to do it. I always find it amazing at the attitude of some sports commentators at their anti-welsh bias. For instance, last week on Sky Sports, they kept mentionng the "if Birmingham win today they go back to the top" I bet they never mentioned the same yesterday about Cardiff. They may have done, I don't care, I was at the game getting myself another sore throat, but believe me, Cardiff at the top is no fluk.. Apart from a lapse when Luton scored, Cardiff "murdered" them!

Edgar, these keyBORDS do play up and Robert the only Hatty we can remember is Hattie Jaques, and she didn't wear a wig. Can't see any resemblence yet, maybe because i'm laying off the takeaways while i'm out. :)
I was a regular at Luton matches in the Seventies when David Pleat was manager, accompanying the Steins father while watching Brian Stein and Ricky Hill who I coached
I missed The Championship this morning Edgar, due to a slow crawl home on the M4 from the West Country and then watching the taped Maria show till 2.45.
Got to catch up with the newspapers.

I was jokin there peps (not too well tho), im well aware of how goal difference works. I said before the season began and I still think it, the 3 teams to be promoted will be Brum, Soton and Coventry. But you never know........
