X FACTOR 2010

Post by mariana44 » Mon Aug 23, 2010 12:50 pm

Well, here it is again---regular as clockwork--X-factor time again.

I thought it was just dull, dull, dull.

Not one decent singer in the whole show.

The only exciting bit was seeing Cheryl collapse in the trailer to next week's show.

I really think they need to rethink and reformat this show---it is getting very tired !!!!

Stupid embarrassing panel and contestants alike. An insult to paying viewers.
Time they shoved it. :x

Well, it could not have been worse than last wek, that's for sure.

There were one or 2 half way decent singers on--although the lady who said that "I, who have nothing " was a Tom Jones song, must have been nervous-I always thought it was Shirley Bassey.
She had a good strong voice--but not a voice I would want to listen to much. I do not think. I am sure we have not seen a winner yet--at least, I hope not !!!!!

Yes, it was slightly better last night Marian, like you say, it really couldn't have been worse than the first week.

I thought it a lot better this week.
Not a bad group, male singer and female singer.
But like you said Marian-no potential winner yet- I hope

Well, that's the auditions over for another year---some of them were painful in moree ways than one-I would not be surprised to find that this is the last series of X FACTOR--so much bad publicity about this series---including the trashing of a Premier Inn and Simons Home--the girl who is an illegal immigrant--the girl who was --well, like in a trance.-and now the revelation about "Chloe"---to be honest, she did not look a vary savoury character to me, so I am not surprised at the revelations--I think she should leave.

And after all that ,most of the singers seem very mediocre--maybe a small handful of decent singers--a very small handful.

Do i sound disilusioned--I am--I used to love this show. Now I watch because there is nothing else on.

I have to say that I think the judges made a few bad choices again--Simon put through both of the "made up" groups, and only one original group got through--I think Cheryl should not have put Katie and Cher through, as they both cracked under the pressure--but I think there was no way that Cheryl would not put Cher through. I felt a bit sorry for Louis-he did not have much to work on, and why they raised the age limit for that group, I really do not know. And again with Dannii, I think she put the wrong boys through.

On saying that-there is a twist coming up--it has already been on radio, but just in case anyone has not heard it, I will not say--but it might shake things up a bit.

I really cannot see anyone who will win--but I hope it is neither Katie nor Cher--but unfortunately it could be. !!! Although I think Cher was brave to tackle "Viva la vida" previously-although it took me a little time to recognise it.

Managed to catch up on x factor last night-it was not quite as bad as I thought it would be.

My 2 favourites were John Adelye and One Direction--mostly because I liked their songs best--especially One Direction with Viva la Vida. Johns song [forget the title just now] originally sung my Mariah Carey, who sang it out of recognition, so it was good to actually hear the tune. Although they were all -supposedly--number one hits, there were quite a few I did not recognise.

Cher was neither one thing nor the other--Katie was awful--"We are the Champions" was so not her song.

But I think It is Wagner to go--whatever possessed Louis to bring him back--I know he did not have much of a choice to start with--but there were a couple of girls and at least one boy, who really were worthy of going through--and Wagner got through because hos category was so poor--I think they should scrap that category completely--and have more singers in the other groups.

This season's X factor seems to be lurching from one crisis to another- I feel really sorry for the few geniune talented singers still around.

No doubt that Katie should have gone last week---Wagner should still not be around--he should never have got past the first stage, let alone to judges house's , and it was madness for Louis to pick him as a wild card.

Now Simon is talking aboit a 5th judge !! Why---I thought the viewers votes were the ones that counted.

I am leaning now towards "One Direction" to win--they could well be the 1st group to win x factor--they have a good look, and a good sound--and so far are not caught up in any controversy.

Very little discussion on this subject, but as we are near the end, I thought I would open it up again.

This year seems to have been full of problems--has it just been publicity-I doubt it, as it seems to be turning people off.

I am still sticking with "One Direction" to win--I am glad Katie and Wagner went--although it was not their fault that they kept being voted in--the judges have a lot to answer for this year-especially Cheryl and Louis.

I haven't watched it that much this series, I do like Mary, but I don't think she will win it. I think maybe Matt will win.

We have only switched over to watch it very briefly once or twice, and we know only too well the reason why... out of sheer wonderment and disbelief.
Thank goodness Kate and Wagner have gone, after this talentless pair have been saturating the front page of our newspapers for the past fortnight.
There's an easy way to find the winner out of the remainder. They, he, or she could be picked out from a hat. :) :)

Another big controversy-apparently the bottom place was going to be decided by viewers votes, and at the last moment they were made to sing and the judges decided--the reason is obvious---Cher had the least votes and would have gone--and I guess Simon did not want her to go. Why cannot they realise that the reason why she has been in the bottom 2 so often is that she is not liked. Quite honestly, if Mary released a cd, I would buy it--I would not have a cd of Cher for free--let alone listen to it.

I heard today though that Mary has had lots of various offers.

It is still "One Direction" for me.
