Many thanks for your explanation Richard, I never considered or realised the expense or the copyright issue. I was just thinking how great it would be for the public to be able to see and hear those wonderful songs by Matt Monro again. That makes all the fantastic clips we get to see, thanks to Michele and yourself, even more special.
I primarily got the idea from Jack Jones's live concerts, where he regularly shows footage of himself with various other well known artists, and of his father Allan Jones, but then I suppose he owns the copyrights!
Marian.

All good ideas Marian, although we had'nt realised the expense involved in adding footage and video clips, and of course there's the copyright laws.
We also prefer Matt Jnr singing the up-beat numbers, and as far as the Two girl singers, their style of singing and entertaining is so much the style of today, and being honest a style that does little for us  we're from a different era,,, the Peggy Lee's The Ella Fitzgerald's The Doris Day's    but this is how it is today. To each his own thing and we wish them well on the tour.
Simon Cowell from the X Factor tells a girl.who is wailing her way through a song ..you are a very good singer. (had he been drinking or something) but don't they all wail and sound the same. We're getting more confused every day. and older

It must definitely be an age thing Lena and Harry, as our taste in music and singers seems to be very much along the same lines as yours.
We also wish everyone connected with the tour all good wishes.
It must be an extremely hard life on the road, as we know only too well from Paul's fantastic accounts of the different venues and hazardous journeys last year!    :D :?
We are looking forward to seeing Matt Jnr and Company, and Paul again at Southsea on the 31st. :D

Morning all,

Matt Jnr. will be the very special guest on the Roger Day radio show tonight. The show starts at 7pm and I should imagine that Matt Jnr. will be on the show at around 8pm or just after.

Roger broadcasts on the BBC network. If you would like to listen in live or use the listen again feature, please go to the websites of Radio Berkshire/Oxford/Kent/Southern Counties or Solent.

Enjoy the show tonight. Matt Jnr. was on Roger's show last year and the interview was very good. Roger is a big fan of Matt Senior and does his music on his show quite a bit. :D :)

I've just listened to Matt Jnr's interview on the listen again feature.
Thanks for the info Hilary.
Matt always gives a good interview and sounds relaxed and comfortable while he is being interviewed, unlike many others.
It comes across as more of a friendly chat and is always enjoyable to listen to. :D :D
The interview was closed with Matt Senior singing 'Softly.' :D Roger also said he must play more Matt Monro on his programme.

We've just listened to it too. As Marian has said.... Matt sounds so relaxed, he certainly does and he is to be congratulated for that considering how many of these he does before during and after his tour, but Roger Day is a good interviewer so that makes it easier.
:)
