Matt Jnr - Orchard Theatre Dartford

My wife and I went to see Matt Jnr last night in Dartford and had a great time. The show looked and sounded great!
I have always been a fan of Matt senior since an early age. As a young professional drummer, I worked with a band that backed Matt Jnr a few times in the early days (late 80s).
The same band, incidentally, backed Matt senior on a few occasions, prior to my joining… always disappointed that I missed out on that!
It was great to say hi to Matt last night and to see Michele Monro again, who I also knew when she was first managing and promoting artistes.
Now a vocalist, along with my wife, I really appreciated the superb talent of Matt Jnr and support act Roy Leslie.
Having bought both of the recent DVDs and seen the BBC documentary (which are all fantastic), I was astounded as to how similar Matt Jnr is to his dad in so many ways i.e. mannerisms, appearance, soft nature, spoken voice as well as singing voice.
It was great to see Colin Keys leading a large top quality band/orchestra, which kicked out a fantastic and well-engineered live sound.
