I am doing a book signing at Waterstones in Harrow on Saturday 6th February (the day before dad's anniversary) from 11.00am and I do hope to see some of you there. It will certainly be nice to see a friendly face or two. This is the only one that has been confirmed to date as Titan had planned to do all signings through Borders so it came as a bit of a blow to realise we had lost all of them at the last minute. Hopefully we will be able to secure some others and I will add them here as they come in.

LITERARY RELIEF
This old heart leapt a beat
at the thought one might meet
our Michele at Waterstone's in Harrow,
when her hard work will sing
a warm 'hello' to Spring
and 'goodbye' to cold chilling the marrow.

A
Spring in your step, eh Michele? Six-foot snow drifts permitting, of course!

So, we're all poetry critics now, are we?
Following the freezing affects of this January's mini ice age,
anticipating the February advent of Michele's book
will be like standing at the front gate waiting to greet
and warmly embrace an approaching and very welcome
newcomer to our midst.
(Blimey, we poets do have to suffer for our art.)

Just recalling a poem from childhood...
January brings the snow, makes our feet and fingers glow..
Well it's certainly true this year.

That's the planet doomed, for certain. If we haven't time to recycle this years cards before next
years are on the shelves what hope is there? Goodbye Mother Earth-nice knowin' ya !
Start the New Year with an uplifting message I always say...
Still, there's all those Leona books to pulp, so all is not lost

With you in Harrow Waterstones in spirit.
We have friends in Harrow and use RAYNERS LANE & KENTON tube stations regularly.More convenient on trips up town and parking is cheaper than West Yorkshire!
Looking after two grandsons today or we'd have been there!

I have to say it was great fun today down at Harrow and I couldn't have received a better welcome from the staff at Waterstones if I'd paid them myself. Thanks to Andrew Levitt and Fiona Ward for looking after me and a special thank you to Tom Lake who made it possible. I had a prominent area dead centre in the shop which was wonderful apart from the automatic door opposite me that opened every time someone sneezed near it. Definitely could have done with a hot water bottle. But the warmth of all the people who popped into say hello was heartening. Brilliant to meet Keith Good and Kevin Ginger. I really appreciate them coming as they don't exactly live around the corner.
According to the staff we easily outsold Ian Rankin who was there a few weeks ago!! Anyways got to go to bed soon as I am on air at 3.30am and need to get my beauty sleep.

Great to see the photos Michele. Also good to hear some forum members were there.
It will be tough to get up for an interview at 3.30a.m. Who else would be so dedicated?
You are indeed your father's daughter.

He would be so proud of you.
Marian & Peter.
