From Matt Monro With Love on HMV's website

The new love song compilation "From Matt Monro, With Love" is already available for pre-ordering on HMV's website. It appears to have the same pricing as The Rare Monro. It's on sale for 5.99 (list price 8.99). At present, there's no artwork or track listing provided.

The release date is listed as 8/1/07, but Michele told us it will be released on 15/1/07.

The reason there is no artwork showing is because I haven't finished designing it - I was much too busy arranging a Fan Club Meet for a few people I know !!

Won't be long, watch for the December updates.

Only a month to wait until the release of MATT MONRO WITH LOVE. Really looking forward to hearing the spanish version of WHERE DO I BEGIN for the first time.

John , and everyone else--you have a real treat in store! We were lucky to hear it at the Fans Reunited Evening and it was absolutely stunning. !!

I also, have preordered my copy of the "Matt Monro With Love" cd., and really looking forward to listening to it.

How about we have two games associated with From Matt Monro With Love?

1. Who will be the first Matt Monro forum member to see the advertisement on TV? As soon as you see it the first time, enter a posting on the forum.

2. Who will be the first person to receive From Matt Monro With Love? It can be in the post or purchased from a store. If I were in the UK, I'd be at HMV at 9:00 am on Monday (5th of February) to purchase the first copy! After you receive your copy, enter a posting. It will be fun to see who gets their copy first!

You are quite right John. It's convenient ordering on line and a reduction in price,

but waiting for the item to arrive takes at least Two e-mails to inform you that they have the item,

another to tell you that it has been despatched

and then another to tell you that your item has been shipped which then takes another Three or Four days

We will probably nip down to HMV ourselves

I will also probably be one of the last to receive my copy too. It is just too difficult for me to get to HMV--although if it had been released today--I was actually in a HMV store !!

But we can all look out for the first advert on TV. Good idea Paul--it makes it more exciting--a bit like hearing the first cuckoo!!

I think that may just be a quaint British tradition ,Paul. Do you have cuckoos in America ??

That explains the lovely classical piece by Delius, "Upon Hearing The First Cuckoo In Spring". We don't have that tradition in the US. We may have cuckoos, but I haven't heard them or saw them in years (or ever). Each spring, some people informally report seeing the first robin.

My "From Matt Monro With Love" game is working! Some of you (e.g., Lena and Harry and hopefully John) will be rushing to HMV on that Monday to get the new Matt Monro CD, rather than ordering online. Each Monday morning, there are always people waiting outside the record stores to get the newest releases by rock groups. Wouldn't be neat to see people waiting at the door to get the newest Matt Monro release?! I know some of you don't have access to an HMV or Virgin store, but I much prefer to get my music at a store rather than ordering through the mail. So if it's possible, go to the stores on Monday morning and buy the Matt Monro CD so it gets a good ranking in the mid-week reports! And let's see who among the forum purchases it first!

Haven't seen it advertised on TV yet, but I have checked the tracklisting on HMV's website. 22 songs on the album, of which I and everyone else will own 21 of them. So only the Spanish version of "Love Story" is a new track

just wished there were a couple more lesser known Matt tracks hidden among the 22 tracks.
