Matt's This Was Mary from the singles collection, such a great performance, Matt's so laid back on this one, just one of the many hidden gems the singles collection offers up! :D

I just downloaded Anthony Newley singing "Candy Man" after hearing it on "Chris Evans show "on Friday--after playing Sammy Davis on Friday, Chris queried who wrote it---well, I knew it was Anthony Newley-so did lots of others-all mailed in--so Chris played that one too--it is good---not quite as good as Sammy Davis though.

But what a genius was Anthony Newley--I did not know that, despite earing millions, he died penniless. A real tragedy. Similar to Lionel Bart.

A birthday present-ELAINE PAIGE CELEBRATING 40 YEARS ON STAGE.
Elaine Paige is live in concert on this DVD.
Beautiful songs including the usual hits but so much more ,such as great versions of 'I Get A Kick Out Of You'.'Cry Me A River' and 'Hello Young Lovers'.
The orchestra were magnificent and we spotted MIKE SMITH on the drums,
a renowned and respected drummer throughout the industry who happens to be the resident drummer with guess who-THE SYD LAWRENCE ORCHESTRA :D :D
