Hi Jeff--you are on the right track! The word "recently" has some significance.

Now I'm going to guess that Liam Gallagher has compared himself to Ray Charles. That makes sense, because Liam knows absolutely nothing about music, so he would probably consider Ray Charles to be a good singer. Is the song Georgia On My Mind?

Jeff , you are making some very good guesses, and you are definately on the right wavelength.

As I said --the "recently" is a clue---it could have been last month---possibly the month before that..................................

I chose an older song and artist, because I thought the opposite of "recently" would have been a long time ago.

But since Valentine's Day was recent, I'll guess

Love Is The Same Anywhere

Perhaps Elvis Presley recorded that and Liam thinks he's Elvis. :?

Jeff--it is nothing to do with Valentines Day---but you are so, so close now.

One last guess and then I give up!

Tahiti

Perhaps Elvis recorded this song. I really can't think of any song that both Matt and Elvis recorded. :?

Matt and Elvis both recorded (or Elvis sang it in concert) "Softly As I Leave You"
"My Tears Will Fall Now That You're Gone,
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On" :(

Hi Jeff and Robert--you are both so slose---but Jeff was much nearer a few guesses ago. Concentrate more on a place associated with Elvis.
And it is nothing to do with a song that they both did, or did not sing.
Don't give up--you are nearly there!!

Excellent !! You have it John. I guess the clue was not as clear as it could have been.

"Should Liam Gallagher have been there recently"

To explain--I recently read that Liam Gallagher thinks he is as good as Elvis Presley---to me he is about as opposite as could be---and Elvis and Memphis are synonomous--more or less.

"Recently"--I did not want to put January, as I thought that may have given it away---June being the opposite of January. So there you go.

I have a few more ready, that I hope will be clearer than that one--but it is your go John. Well done on getting that one.

That's true Marian! Actually I've got this little dish by my monitor which is advertising Schwab's store in Memphis where apparently Elvis was a regular customer. It's a real old fashioned hardware store established 1876 and still sells the same stuff today..

Marian
