Hello Lena and Harry and everyone. Just to let you know that I have posted a poem on the Eleanor Powell - Website- if you want to read it. Its quite a long one. I had to send it in two parts as I ran out of room on the message page while sending the post. I've called it My Poem - For Ellie.
If you read the poem, please let me know what you think of it. Thank you.

My tears will fall now that your gone :(

Hello Lena and Harry. I have just checked, and the poem is still there.
It is on the Official Eleanor Powell - Website- as my previous posts have been - (on the Forum page).
The Official Website is at - www.classicmoviefavorites.com/powell/
(all one word- but the word favorites has no -u- being American).
Hope you find it next time Lena and Harry. :D :D

We've given up Robert, :( searched the entire web-site and forum, but we are sure it would have been good anyway. :)
We've just had our two yearly reminders to go for our eye checks, lets hope we can find the optician. 8) 8) .

Hi Robert-I have not tracked down your Eleanor Powell Poem yet--I got to the website via your link, then to the forum, but have not spotted your poem. Is it under the name you use here? Approximately how long ago was it.
I would love to see it. Marian

Hello Lena and Harry it's me again. Please try to find the poem again, it's still there. 1. Click onto Website I gave in my above post. 2. Click onto forum, which is next to E Mail. 3. Click onto Eleanor Powell topic. 4. Scroll down past my other posts, and there it is, hopefully you cannot miss it.
If you miss it this time - go straight to the opticians do not pass go and do not collect £200.
I am currently listening to Eric Hall on listen again, waiting for David Jacobs. Eleanor Powell is at present top of the topic list. I cannot understand why no one can find it, it is under ROBERT M.

Hi again Robert---well I persevered and found your comments and poems about Eleanor Powell. My word, what a wonderful tribute to her. And I am sure that Michele would be proud of the lovely words you have written about Matt. Robert, you're a star, too. !!!

OK Robert, the mist has cleared, we will just have to increase the medication
We had already seen your reply to the person who insulted Ellie a week or two ago and your complimentary posting, so assumed that your poem was on the other forum. Sorry about that sir. We will accept and rightful punishment. Fifty lashes, or we will agree to write out one hundred lines. We must not be such f f foolish idiots.

The poem was wonderful Robert, so you liked her a bit then. No, seriously she was a wonderfully talented performer, a superb dancer and we've said before, that we personally put her ahead of Ginger Rogers in the dancing stakes, and we agree with everything that you expressed in the poem. Excellent :) :?:

Hello Lena and Harry. I have another big smile on my face :D :D reading the funny things you said in the posts. I am so glad that you managed to find the right place this time :? :?
I'm very pleased you liked the poem. You mentioned writing out 100 lines. Well that is exactly the amount of lines I used in My Poem For Ellie.
But I think you had better hurry up to get those eye tested, as its taken you all day to find the poem
Matt has just sang "This Is All I Ask" on the David Jacobs collection. What a brilliant, absolutely brilliant rendition of that particular song :) :)
Another of my favourite singers Jerry Vale is on now.

Hi Robert, yes we are also Jerry Vale fans, but David is playing our song right now "Fascination" but we like Al Martino's version,
Had this played twice as a request, once on Ed Stewarts prog and on Desmond Carrington show.

Hi again Lena and Harry, guess who this is, yes its your optician
I really am missing the Ed Stewart programme, arn't you. As i've said before, I used to listen to radio two nearly all day on sundays, from mid afternoon. Now I only listen to TWO shows on radio 2 on a sunday, Russell Davies and David Jacobs. At least I can now listen to Eric Halls show, usually on the Listen Again feature. I am listening to it again, now the David Jacobs show has finished. I put it on pause for the past hour.
Going back to Ed Stewarts show, he played a great mixture of all different type of songs and music, including the easy listening performers. The Johnnie Walker show just doesnt belong on radio two across tea-time. It's more of a late night type of show in my opinion.

So I will book you in for your eye tests later this week, as I have been told that your eyes are deteriorating very quickly. You might even need binocular glasses

(By the way Lena and Harry, I have now passed the century mark of posts, did you notice.?? If you didn't notice, you will definitely have to submit another photograph of yourselves on the forum, this time with your GLASSES on).

To Robert , our favourite optician, yes we have to say that Sunday listening on Radio 2 has deteriorated yet again since Ed Stewarts departure.
It makes us appreciate Russell Davies programme all the more, a nice selection on Sunday, and of course, David Jacobs choice is our choice.
We do like Malcolm Laycock's show too, plays the excellent dance band music with vocalists.
We usually start the day early listening to DJ Dean Martin on Capital Gold Radio, and then at 9o'clock to Dewi Griffiths on the internet on Radio Wales. plays all the good stuff. Big Bands and vocalists.
Eric Hall is a character, and very knowledgeable on artists and musicians due to his career in the business. A sincere man too we reckon.
Tissues out for this one Bubelehs.
