Now that would be telling! My first wife (what am I saying I only married once!) thought I said Dolphins but of course it was Wales! Yes I've been around the UK, living and competing in Athletics. My latest problem is where do we retire to! Not that we can afford many areas now with house prices as they are. Thanks Lena and Harry for the info on Wednesday! I'm preparing for a show in Porthcawl tonight. Will probably sing a selection of Matt's songs! I have a fab backing tape with a small medley of Monro songs - it begins with Born Free, cuts into My Kind of Girl, then On Days Like These and then back to Born Free! It lasts about 5 mins! But I always add Portrait and maybe tonight Walk Away. All this plus about 15 from 'Dino'. Hope all you out there at the Forum are fit and well on this beautiful Spring morning - the sun's lovely in South Wales, although I read the Daily Express myself!!

Were Sun worshippers ourselves Bill, but often take a look in the Mirror and don't always like what we see.
It's been a lovely day here today in London Town, even warmer tomorrow were told, and then from Wednesday the rot sets in.

It has been lovely here in Sunny Blackpool today as well, nice enough to sit out for a bit!

John, we watched a programme on TV yesterday. It included Blackpool. Did anyone else watch it ??
It was about comedienne Jo Brand learning to play the organ.
She played the big Wirlitzer in the Tower Ballroom with couples waltzing. and although a little bit out of timing, they all applauded.
The big night was playing to a full house at the "Royal Albert Hall"
which turned out to be a great success.

No, I missed that Lena and Harry. I bet that was good, I quite like Jo Brand and her dry sense of humour!

We've been to Gunwharf Quays at Portsmouth today - it was lovely warm day, and the sun was bouncing off the water. We sat and had lunch at a restaurant overlooking the Marina - it was just like something off 'Howards Way'

Jo Brand is very funny - seen her live a few times. A very sarcastic but lovely lady!

Katherine Jenkins is lovely, unlike that other Welsh songstress (and I don't mean Dame Shirley Bassey!) who has that rubbish 'chat' show on C4

Hi Mike sounds like you had a nice day at Gunwharf Quays. The last time we were there was about Seven years ago for my Cousins Golden Wedding celebration.
We watched Charlotte Churches show one night. The greatest pity about this once young and talented girl is, she grew up.
It was funny to see Jo Brand looking serious one minute while being taught the correct keys, then out of frustration coming out with, and remembering what she's good at.

Apparently Charlotte Church has been having a go at our Eurovision song contest entry group, I'm sorry, I've forgotten the name for the moment - "Scooch" that's it..
They retaliated with "What a pity the Voice of an Angel, has turned into the mouth of the sewer"!
Marian
P.S. Just noticed we haven't put our clocks forward here, I didn't think I was up that early... :? :?

Great reading all your comments on the weather, Jo Brand (yes I did see her programme - very interesting!) Katherine and Charlotte! I agree what was said about the latter. She should never have left the opera-type scene she was in a few years ago! My show went well last night in the Porthcawl Hotel. It was a Convalescence Hotel and the audience was very appreciative. My audience never escapes - I always bring my Irish friend 'Pad Lock' with me and he locks the doors from the ouside - it works every time! Have a great day today whatever you're all doing before the weather breaks tomorrow. I'm rehearsing from 12.30 with a 'Frank Sinatra' from my area - should be fun. As I had beans yesterday, I shan't sing 'Summer Wind'!!!

Marian,
I've just realised what you said about the clocks! You where up at all hours! Do you like Shirley Bassey? Her new single (a cracker!) is out next month. I've posted details on the 'other favourtite singers' column. Kind regards and night-night!!

We heard the last of the Three part series of Dame Vera Lynn with David Jacobs last night We heard a very young Vera singing "Shopping",
a duet with Anne Shelton, compliments from Vera to the marvellous Robert Farnham, some memorable songs "Auf Wiedersehen" "The Homing Waltz" even a German song sung phonetically. She talked of her time in America and her popularity there.
She is a staunch supporter of the Army Benevolent Fund and was constantly in touch and spoke with fondness of the Queen Mother.
The last time that she sang in public was at Buckingham Palace in 1995, to mark the Golden Jubilee of V.E Day. singing all those famous war songs, and yes,,,, We were there.
David said how lucky we are to have her. Couldn't agree more.

The time's still an hour behind on the forum. It's the people who supply the forum apparently, so nothing can be done until they change it.
I quite like some of Shirley Bassey's songs Bill, Terence is her biggest fan on the website.

I am glad that I am not the only one who noticed the forum's clock was still an hour behind, I thought it was my computer.

Talking of the "Queen Mother", she passed away five years ago today. God Bless
