I thought it had -last week-----but when I went out today it was really cold again---but at least all the daffs and crocuses are out---just waiting to see my first bluebell.

David played Matts Walking Happy as the opening track tonight.................yawn, yawn.............why does DJ always play Matt singing this song.............there are plenty of other newer Matt releases DJ could choose to play instead.............I bet he hasn't even heard of the Rare Monro ...........I can't recall David Jacobs ever playing a song from this release

I caught that one for a change--being the first track. Perhaps that is one of David's favourites--but I agree there are so many other great Matt tracks to choose from.

We didn't listen to the programme last night, but at the end of the day it is David's programme and he has the right to choose the songs, so we just feel grateful that he plays Matt's songs.

But why not some different Matt songs DJ sticks to the same four or five songs all the time.........that's not right, is it ?

Perhaps he is continuously repeating these songs in the hope that the listeners will get so p....d off with the standards and gladly send him some different ones.

I love Walking Happy and am always glad to hear it as it's one of Matt Monro's best.

I just think David feels only a few of the songs fit in his programme. I also believe he only owns a few of the MM compilations. So that's why he repeats the same songs often.

DJ gave Michele a nice mention before the first song, which was This Is the Life. I cannot remember David it playing before

I was so cross with myself-I was upstairs listening to the 11.00 news--then remembered I'd left my Ipod on charge in my computer room-went in to check it all out--came back, and Matt was half way through singing !!!

Can you remember what David said ??

I was surprised to hear that Sammy Davis originally sang that song--I have never heard that version--hard to imagine anyone--even Sammy--doing a more definitive version than Matt.

Thanks Sandra--well done David for mentiong Michele and the new edition book--I wonder if he will be at the Fan Club meeting-I have not heard his name mentioned-but you never know-Michele said some names could be added later. I have been listening to David Jacobs for as long as I can remember.
